Air
Achieving sustainability through the element of air involves major working component of a building: heating-ventilation- air-conditioning (HVAC). We integrate provisions for indigenous techniques such as cross ventilation, stack ventilation at planning level post prudent analysis of wind and temperature of the project location.
For spaces requiring controlled indoor environment, we have adopted modern technologies such as thermal energy storage system, energy recovery ventilation systems etc. at macro to micro level, to help reduced the load on HVAC systems to optimum level. Such practices have helped achieve cost efficiency by utilizing the benefits of night tariff exemptions provided by authorities.
Water
Element of water, an essential resource, through collection, management and reuse can lead to a cleaner and plenteous supply. Through green techniques such as sustainable urban draining systems, water conservation, rainwater catchment, we thrive to provide an efficient water artifice.
we adapt convenient methodologies such as waste water reuse for maintenance of landscape by integrating sewage treatment plant, thereby aiming to achieve zero discharge. We practice harvesting rainwater from terraces and all surface runoffs through rainwater harvesting pits and trenches to help recharge ground water for future needs.
Earth
From site planning to material selection, we comprehend every aspect to connect to mother earth. Understanding every details of urban / rural planning, visual outlook, complimenting landscape, we endeavor to achieve a consolidated design. Materials sensitive to climate and its viability are profusely adhered to.
Our projects practice on site precautions such as management of existing trees, preservation of top fertile soil for landscape design, material storage management, diligent construction planning etc. We assimilate green materials such as locally manufactured ones or those that are made from reuse of construction and demolition debris in our designs to help reduce environmental impact of the project.
Energy
Element of energy needs two broader intervention: harness positive energy and repress negative energy. Our projects exploit light as a positive energy through massing, orientation, prudent designing of facade & zoning of activity. Heat, as a negative energy in hot climate zone is smothered through solar controls, back ventilated facades, thermal insulated walls etc, while in cold climate, the same is harnessed through systems of trombe wall, solar wall etc.
Evaporative cooling is developed in hot weathers to create micro climate in outdoor public areas. We pursue to harness solar energy through solar thermal energy systems and solar panels to help depreciate our project’s carbon footprint.
